How Long Commercial Epoxy Floors Last in Miami

Surface preparation is the single most important factor in how long a commercial epoxy floor lasts. For commercial projects, we use diamond grinding or shot-blasting to achieve the correct concrete surface profile (CSP-3 or higher for high-traffic environments). This step removes contaminants, opens the pores of the concrete, and gives the epoxy a mechanical bond strong enough to handle the demands of daily commercial operations.

We also test every commercial slab for moisture vapor transmission before coating. Miami slabs frequently have elevated moisture levels, and applying epoxy over a wet slab is the fastest path to delamination and failure.
