Got Questions?
Here’s what people usually ask before signing up.
Do I need any experience to take a class?
Not at all. The DIY Garage class is designed for complete beginners. We walk you through every step from surface prep to final coat. The Metallic Masterclass assumes some basic familiarity, but if you’re motivated, you’ll be fine.
What should I wear / bring?
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting epoxy on — it doesn’t come out. We provide gloves, respirators, and all safety gear. Closed-toe shoes required. We also provide lunch and drinks for full-day classes.
Can I bring a friend or coworker?
Absolutely — and you’ll both save. Groups of 2+ get 10% off per person. Just mention it in the notes section when you register and we’ll apply the discount.
Where are classes held?
All classes are held at our workspace in Miami-Dade County. The exact address and parking details are sent to you once your registration is confirmed. We’re easy to find and have plenty of parking.
What’s the refund / cancellation policy?
Full refund if you cancel 48+ hours before the class. Cancellations within 48 hours can be transferred to a future date at no extra charge. We get it — life happens.
Will I be able to do my own floor after the class?
That’s the whole point. After the DIY class, you’ll have the skills and confidence to coat your own garage. We even offer graduates a discount on materials purchased through us.

What You Learn in Our Epoxy Classes
Our hands-on epoxy flooring classes walk you through the complete installation process from start to finish. The curriculum covers surface preparation using a diamond grinder, moisture testing and vapor-barrier primer application, mixing ratios and pot life for different epoxy systems, decorative chip and metallic pigment techniques, and applying a polyaspartic topcoat for UV resistance and long-term durability.
South Florida’s climate creates specific challenges that our instructors address in every class. High humidity affects epoxy cure times, and coastal moisture vapor can cause delamination if the slab is not properly primed. You will learn how to read a moisture meter, interpret the readings, and choose the right primer system for the conditions on the day of your install. These are the skills that separate a floor that lasts from one that bubbles and peels inside a year.
We keep class sizes small so every student gets hands-on time with the actual equipment and materials, not just a demonstration. By the end of the session you will have coated a real floor under supervision and will know how to handle the prep, the coating, and the cleanup on your own. Graduates receive a discount on materials purchased through 343 Epoxy for their first independent project.
Classes are held at our Miami location and run on weekends to work around your schedule. Seats fill fast, especially in the spring when homeowners are prepping garages and patios before summer.
