Community buildings run several uses through one floor, which is what makes the specification tricky. A hall that hosts basketball in the morning, a lunch club at midday and a hire event at night sees athletic scuffing, spilled food and chair drag on the same surface. The realistic maintenance question for a community building is who does it, since it is usually a mix of staff and volunteers.
